Louisville/Nimishillen Township, Ohio
Buildings Past and Present

Held at The Ahh Gallery, Louisville, OH

This juried show features Louisville/Nimishillen Township, Ohio buildings or architectural components, either past or present. Resources from live demos, the Louisville Nimishillen Township Historical Society Museum and its website will be available. Our goal is to involve artists in our rich local history.

Artist Eligibility:  The exhibition is open to all residents of Stark County, Ohio, age 18 years or older. Members of the Canton Artists League who do not reside in Stark County are also eligible. For membership information: https://cantonartistsleague.org/membership.

Entry Eligibility:  Artists may submit one, two or three entries for a single fee. One detail image of each artwork may also be submitted but is not required. There is no guarantee of acceptance.

All images must be sent electronically to Juried Art Services. Please be sure to include all requested information for each work (title, year, medium, dimensions, price, source of reference).

All art submitted must relate to the theme of the Exhibit: “Buildings Past and Present in Louisville/Nimishillen Township (Ohio).”  All art must be created between 2022 and 2024. This juried exhibition, along with other related events, is designed to promote the rich history of Louisville and Nimishillen Township, with the goal of generating interest in our past and present by inviting artists and visitors to join us. These events have been made possible, in part, by an ArtsinStark Impact Grant.

  • To begin your submission, log in or set up an account at juriedartservices.com                            

  • Create a portfolio by downloading 1-3 works of art. One detail image for each artwork may be included.

  • Apply to “Buildings Past and Present” Juried Show and follow instructions to apply.

  • Images must be at least 750 px on the smallest side.

 Eligible Artwork: All media will be considered. Hanging work must be no more than 30” x 40”  and ready to hang or display with appropriately secured hardware. Sawtooth hangers will not be accepted.

Juror: Thomas Mayer, architect and award-winning artist

Awards: Best in Show, $300.  Second Place, $200. Third Place: $100, Honorable Mention (2): $50

Application Fee: $25 for one to three entries

Donation: A 25% donation is requested for artwork that is sold. Artwork may be NFS. 

Timeline:

Opening date for entries: October 4, 2024

Submission deadline: December 7, 2024

Email notification to selected artists: January 4, 2025

Drop-off date of accepted entries: February 8 and 9, 2025 10:00 am to 3:00 pm – 120 E. Main St, Louisville

Exhibition: February 8 through March 8, 2025

Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony: February 8, 5-7 pm

Pick-up of exhibited artwork: March 13 and 14, 10:00 am – 3:00pm

Packaging: Any packaging that is received with the work must be retained by the artist due to lack of storage space in the gallery.
