# What Is a Booth Image and Why Is It Required? A booth image is a photograph of your display setup — your tent, tables, lighting, and overall presentation — that some events require as part of your application so jurors can evaluate your professionalism and how you present your work to the public. ## What a Booth Image Shows Your booth image should capture your full display as it appears at an outdoor or indoor show. Jurors typically look for: - **Overall presentation** — how your work is arranged and displayed together - **Professionalism** — a cohesive, well-organized setup that reflects your artistic brand - **Scale and context** — how your work looks in a real show environment ## Steps to Include a Booth Image in Your Application 1. **Open your application** — Go to [/account/applications](/account/applications) and select the event you're applying to. 2. **Locate the booth image field** — As you work through the application form, you'll find a dedicated upload section specifically for your booth image. It is separate from your artwork images. 3. **Upload your photo** — Select a clear, well-lit photograph of your actual booth setup. Requirements for file format, dimensions, and size are specified on the application page and may vary by event. 4. **Review before submitting** — Confirm the image uploaded correctly and accurately represents your display. ## If You Don't Have a Booth Photo Yet If you're a newer artist who hasn't exhibited at a show before, contact the event organizer directly — their contact information is on the event's prospectus page at `/events/$eventId`. Some organizers will accept alternatives (such as a mock setup photo); others require an actual show photo. JAS does not set this policy — it is determined by each individual event. ## Related Articles - [What are the image requirements for applications?](/help/article/image-requirements-applications) - [What are some tips for a successful application?](/help/article/successful-application-tips) - [Submit Your Application](/help/article/submit-your-application) - [Understanding Application Submissions](/help/article/understanding-application-submissions) --- *Still have questions?
