# What Does "Confirmed Category: No" Mean on a Paid Application?
A paid application showing **Confirmed Category: No** means your payment was received successfully, but the event organizer has not yet confirmed your specific category placement.
## What Each Field Tells You
- **Paid** — JAS has recorded your application fee payment. Your application is financially complete.
- **Confirmed Category: No** — The event organizer has not yet assigned or confirmed which category you will be juried or exhibited in. This step is controlled by the organizer, not JAS.
## What to Do
1. **No action is required on your end.** Your application is submitted and paid. The "No" status is not a problem or an error — it simply reflects where things stand in the organizer's process.
2. **Monitor your application status** by visiting your dashboard and checking the application detail. Category confirmation typically updates there when the organizer acts. See [Track Your Application Status](/help/article/track-application-status) for a full walkthrough.
3. **Contact the event organizer directly** if you need a timeline for when categories will be confirmed. JAS does not control this step, and the organizer is the right person to ask.
