# How Applying to a Show Works You find an event, prepare your work to meet its requirements, submit your application, and then track its status while the jury reviews it. ## The steps 1. **Create your artist account.** You need an account before you can apply. See [Create Your Artist Account](/help/article/create-artist-account). One account per artist; see [Can I have multiple accounts?](/help/article/multiple-accounts-policy). 2. **Find an event.** Browse open shows and read each listing closely. See [Browse and Discover Events](/help/article/browse-discover-events). 3. **Check the event's requirements.** Deadlines, fees, eligibility, and what you must submit are set by each event's organizer and differ from show to show. If anything is unclear, ask the organizer before you apply. 4. **Prepare your images.** Your images are what the jurors see, so get them ready before you start.
