Viewing Who Opened or Clicked a Sales Campaign Email
Event Management
0 views • Last updated 10/27/26
To see which recipients opened or clicked a campaign you sent, open the campaign from the [Campaigns](/campaigns) page and review its recipient-level activity on the Campaign Detail page.
## Steps
1. **Go to Campaigns.** In the sales site, open [Campaigns](/campaigns) under Marketing.
2. **Open the campaign you sent.** Select it from the list to load its Campaign Detail page (`/campaigns/$campaignId`). If the campaign has several emails, the detail page is where you can see activity across all of them.
3. **Find the recipient activity.** Look for the per-recipient view. It lists each contact the campaign reached and shows whether each one opened or clicked.
4. **Narrow the list to engaged recipients.** Sort or filter by open or click activity, if that option is available, so you can see only the people who engaged with any email in the campaign.
5. **Drill into a person.** Select a recipient to open their contact record (`/contacts/$contactId`). From there, you can review their history and decide on next steps, such as a follow-up email, a call, or adding them to a list.
## Reading the Results Wisely
- **Opens are directional, not definitive.** Some email clients load tracking images automatically, which can record an open that never happened. Others block images, which hides a real open. Treat opens as a signal of interest, not proof.
- **Clicks are the stronger signal.** A click means the recipient took an action. Prioritize clickers when you plan outreach.
- **Give it time.** Engagement keeps arriving for hours or days after a send. Check again before you draw conclusions about a campaign you just sent.
- **For aggregate trends,** such as overall open and click rates across campaigns, see [Analytics](/analytics).
## Not Seeing What You Expect?
- **Confirm you're looking at a campaign.** One-off sends live under [Blasts](/blasts), and recurring sequences live under [Scheduled Emails](/scheduled-emails). They are tracked on their own detail pages, not in Campaigns.
- **Check with your admin or the product team.** If a campaign shows no recipient-level tracking at all, ask them to confirm that tracking was enabled for that send. Tracking availability and settings may vary and should be confirmed rather than assumed.
