# Understanding Waitlist Position and Management Your waitlist position and how the waitlist is managed are determined entirely by the event organizer — JAS does not assign or display a universal queue number within the platform. ## What JAS Shows You When you accept a waitlist offer, your application status updates to reflect that you are on the waitlist. However, **JAS does not display a numbered waitlist position** in your account dashboard. The platform does not maintain a publicly visible queue ranking that artists can view. To check your current application status at any time: 1. Log in to your account at [juriedartservices.com](https://juriedartservices.com). 2. Go to **Applications** at [/account/applications](/account/applications). 3. Locate the relevant event and review the status shown on your application card. ## Who Controls the Waitlist Each event's waitlist is managed independently by the event organizer, not by JAS. This means: - **Waitlist position** — whether positions are tracked and whether artists are told their number — is the organizer's decision. - **How artists move off the waitlist** — for example, if an accepted artist withdraws — is handled by the organizer. - **Timelines and notifications** — when and how you'll hear back — vary by event. ## How to Find Out Your Position Contact the event organizer directly.
